Fastlife speed dating experience

After two years together, POF has ended its relationship with speed dating and singles event company Fast Life.POF CEO Marcus Frind saw a bright future for the union in 2013.We are the only organization to routinely screen daters we feel may not be a good fit for our clients.

The time seemed right for POF to team up with Fast Life, a company that held around 2,400 events a year in the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the UK.

Speed dating is a formalized matchmaking process of dating system whose purpose is to encourage people to meet a large number of new people.

Its origins are credited to Rabbi Yaacov Deyo of Aish Ha Torah, originally as a way to help Jewish singles meet and marry.

"Looking into someone's eyes and having a conversation...

can be much more revealing than reading a list of interests and seeing a gallery of heavily edited, perfectly filtered selfies." A new take on the classic party game, Spin the Bottle reimagines the online dating experience with 30 second live video speed dates.

Men and women are rotated to meet each other over a series of short "dates" usually lasting from three to eight minutes depending on the organization running the event.
