Driver Genius will install the driver automatically, smoothly and silently. Moreover, constantly scan driver updates by Driver Genius or enable the Scheduled Scan function in Options- Schedule to make sure that will not miss a new release. To be on the safe side open your Device Manager and look for the Hardware IDs of the "Asmedia 106x SATA Controller", which should be listed within the "IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers" section (right click onto the Controller "Hardware IDs".There you can see the exact Device ID of your on-board ASMedia 106x SATA Controller (DEV_0611 or DEV_0612).I've just purchased a ASrock z77 extreme4 board to take advantage of TRIM in Win7 and have just modded the bios for the latest Intel OROM, but then it got me thinking about updating the ASmedia controller aswell.Station-Drivers have a new OROM for the ASmedia controller dated 7/8/12 but its just a file so presume it needs packing into the BIOS somehow. Update: Well I've had a little look in MMTool and in the CSMCORE section the following 2 items appear to be the ASmedia 106x controller 1b21,611 1b21,612 As extracting both these modules and opening with a Hex editor it can be seen the OROM version is 0.93 (The latest version on Station-Drivers is 0.951) Which one of the above 2 modules need replacing then ???? Hope maybe Fernando can help Well I've had a little look in MMTool and in the CSMCORE section the following 2 items appear to be the ASmedia 106x controller 1b21,611 1b21,612 Which one of the above 2 modules need replacing then ???? You probably can update both, because they will use the same ROM module.
